DBMEN is our ministry to the men of Desert Breeze.
Our goal is to help one another grow as disciples of Christ.
Our mission is:
To diligently cultivate biblical man to man relationships that meet them where they are, understand their needs, develop their character, nurture their calling, and guide their impact in serving Christ.
Contact Pastor Scott if you have questions about the DBMen
1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.
Where is the community of DBMen found?
We believe that anywhere and everywhere a man finds himself being ministered to at DBCC, that is where “ministry to DBMen” happens. However, we believe every man needs a committed handful of genuine male friends to walk with them through life – other guys who have your back and you have theirs. These core friendships offer, support, strengthening, encouragement, accountability, and a calling UP to authentic Godly manhood. We endeavor to target men through men’s events, casual fellowship, study groups and discipleship classes. From the unbeliever to the man who is deep in his walk with Christ – we want to serve you.

33 The Series-Authentic Manhood:
This men’s discipleship series follow the 33 year model that Jesus Christ gives us as men. This six-volume series helps men clear away the confusion society has clouded our minds and heart with. It gives men a clear definition of “AUTHENTIC MANHOOD”. Deconstruct the lies believed by the “man’s man” living in a “man’s world” and reconstruct, be equipped and encouraged to live as the new MAN God calls you to be and has designed us to be. There is currently one Men’s 33 Series groups that meet ion Saturday mornings at the church (currently beginning Volume 5). Our desire for all who participate in the 33 Series Groups is completing all 6 volumes – A Man and His Design – A Man and His History – A Man and His Traps – A Man and His Work – A Man and His Marriage – A Man and Fatherhood. They are complimentary of one another, build progressively and strategically upon one another. They are best taken in order (but it is not required).
The Conquer Series:
Learn to live free from porn through the proven strategies and practical tools taught in the Conquer Series. 12 weeks of Biblical teaching to help men walk in freedom. Relational casualties rise when you try to fight this battle alone. You don’t have to fight alone. Contact Pastor Scott Fameli to get connected with our Conquer leader Vernon Johnson.
Mending The Soul for Men:
The pain of our past can affect how we live in the present and could hinder our future. We all need soul mending. Biblically grounded and psychologically informed, Mending the Soul is a first-of-its-kind, comprehensive approach to understanding and treating every form of abuse. This small support group is a confidential and facilitated by trained leaders. Watch our bulletin for when our next group starts or contact Pastor Scott Fameli to let us know you are interested.
A fireteam is a handful of genuine and committed friends that you meet with regularly to share the battle of life together.
Raising A Modern Day Knight:
Created by Robert Lewis and Dennis Rainey, Raising a Modern-Day Knight offers video based discipleship training in fatherhood. Dads will gather with other dads and learn and be equipped to be an on purpose, heroic, and effect father to the little men we are raising impact the world of tomorrow. The medieval custom of knighthood offers a unique approach to shaping a boy into a strong, godly man. Centuries ago, select boys went through a rigorous, years-long process of clearly defined objectives, goals, and ceremonies—with the hope of achieving knighthood. RMDK is about victorious dads raising victorious boys into manhood.
Face to Face:
Discipleship can happen over a cup of coffee. Discipleship and the pursuit of holiness are intentional. Character development is not to be casual. Authentic relationships are a man’s greatest needs, but at times his greatest fear. Healthy relationships with other men will encourage, challenge, direct, and inspire you. The DBMen’s Ministry has tools available for you to begin being intentional about building Godly relationships with one or more other men that you meet with regularly to talk about life – your hopes, your struggles, what God and His word are teaching you, what you need prayer about, and what decisions you are making. Contact Pastor Scott Fameli to find out more about these tools.
We plan Men’s Breakfasts about 3 times a year. We would like to invite all men to join in planning and pulling off these events. Taking the opportunity to gather men and reach out and invite friends to an event that will be fun, and fulfilling is a great way to expand your reach and build up our community of men. It is a team effort. If you are interested in helping with a Men’s Breakfast, BBQ, league sports teams, outdoor activity or other event, please contact Scott Fameli to discuss your ideas. If you’d like to attend, be watching the bulletin for announcements of these activities.
Under the oversight of Pastor Scott Fameli, we strive to build a team of intentional men dedicated to bringing the tools, information, and opportunities necessary for every man to live the godly life we have been called to in Christ. With great care and prayer, we are endeavoring to build upon a solid foundation of discipleship that will firm up all men who have the capacity to help encourage and direct other men into a deeper commitment to Christ. We call it the Men’s Council. For more information on the DBMen’s Council, events or leadership, and how you can participate, please contact Pastor Scott Fameli at 602-374-4588.
